Cadenhead's Glenrothes-Glenlivet 20 Year Old is an independently bottled Speyside single malt distilled in 1997 and matured in a refill-sherry butt. Bottled in February 2018 at 56.2% ABV, it opens with peanut butter, figs and treacle before a chewy palate of orange zest, juicy sultanas and ginger. Nutmeg, paprika, orange peel and brown sugar shape the warming finish. Best explored neat, with a few drops of water to open the cask-strength whisky.
