Uniquely Distilled Mortlach is crafted using Alexander's unique process, so the taste of 'The Best of Dufftown' is not that usually found on Speyside. 2.81 Distilled Mortlach has a depth of flavour rarely seen in any malt whisky. Made by Malt Masters Our Malt Masters have skillfully combined a characterful range of different ages and casks to bring out all the complexity of the rich, swirling aromas and sweet savoury layers of flavour in Mortlach. Opulent Taste A bright amber colour introduces fruity notes of ripe plum, red berry and peach backed by a complex, nutty dryness, then a toffee-rich sweetness, becoming savoury with hints of light, spicy oak. On the rich, supple palate tangy, dense red sweetness to become rich toffee, muscularly backed by a savoury complexity. The smooth, sweet finish has an appealing late twist of peppery spice.
